Amanda Birdwhistell Ward joined Miller and Falkner in 2007. Her practice focuses upon trial work in employment and labor-related litigation including racial discrimination, hostile workplace/ environment litigation, sexual harassment, and Family Medical Leave Act litigation. She also practices personal injury litigation including medical negligence, motor vehicle accident litigation and defective products litigation. Amanda also regularly represents employees in unemployment hearings.

Amanda attended law school at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. Prior to attending law school Amanda graduated with honors from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Women’s Studies.  Amanda was a Contributing Editor for Discipline and Discharge in Arbitration, Second Edition, 2008 published by the American Bar Association Section of Labor and Employment Law.

Amanda practices throughout Kentucky and in United States District Court for the Western and Eastern District of Kentucky as well as the Southern District of Indiana. Amanda is a member of the Louisville Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys.

Amanda grew up in Elizabethtown, Kentucky graduating from Central Hardin High School and currently resides in Louisville with her husband.
